Some say the best way to learn is through your wallet. We wish we could disagree. But a costly mistake made years ago in Ryan’s home building business is why we’re here today.
"The lightbulb went on when we figured out how to harness the overwhelming 24/7 texts, emails, phone calls, and site visits."
Hey, we’re Carson and Ryan Miller. Brothers, Builders, and BuildBook Co-Founders.
‍
We’ve both been around construction since we were kids. We grew up helping our family remodel houses and tackle weekend DIY projects in Georgia.
‍
A love of building led one of us to build custom homes and the other to build tech.
‍
That $7k mistake?
‍
It came early in the home building business — when a client changed their mind on flooring and agreed to a higher cost product. The job got done, but nothing was written down.Â
‍
So when it came time to pay up, the client took a hardline and disagreed with the overage. 7,000 bucks… out the window.
‍
Sound familiar?
‍
It’s stories like this that motivated us to create BuildBook. A fix for the exact issues so many building industry pros struggle with but can’t really nail down.
‍
Turns out, every. single. challenge can be traced back to miscommunication —and ultimately a lousy client experience.
‍
We discovered that when you get these issues under control, your business runs smoother, your profits are higher, and you have fewer headaches to manage.
‍
And that's how BuildBook was born.
