To kick off IBS 2020 and to celebrate our upcoming 1-year anniversary, we couldn’t have thought of a better time to bring you an all-new BuildBook version 2.0.

If you have been with us since the beginning, you know that BuildBook has evolved a ton in the past year, but version 2.0 is our biggest release ever. With these new features and upgrades you’ll now have more effective tools  to sell more, collaborate better, and further delight your clients. And, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Check out everything that’s new:

Control the flow of information across each project with Workspaces

This highly requested new feature ensures that the right people see the right updates. And, equally as important, private conversation between you and your client, or you and your team, can be kept … well, private.

Custom Workspaces can be created within each project and gives you the ability to invite only those who should be included.

You can customize your Workspaces however it works best of your business and projects — a client only space for private conversations, a space to share information and tasks with your team without having to worry about what your client might see, or even just a private space for yourself to use how you wish.

Controlling the flow of your communication during projects means less distractions and miscommunication for everyone involved, which is why we think you’re going to love this new feature.

Enhance how you communicate with your team and clients with BuildBook Video posts

This all-new video feature will allow you to create short videos from directly within the BuildBook app to add to any project or workspace.

Here are just a few ideas on how to use BuildBook Video posts to simplify and streamline your business:

Capture Daily Logs: At the end of a long workday, typing out a daily log is probably the last thing that you or your team wants to do. Now, daily logs can be captured over a short video (60 seconds or less) and posted directly to BuildBook for everyone on the team to see and comment on. You’ll have an organized record of daily logs for every project, and your team will actually enjoy submitting them.

Send your client progress updates: As you know, clients love when you share photos from the job site of the progress you’re making. They’re going to love it even more as a video! At the end of a productive week, walk the job site and narrate all of the amazing progress you’ve made and share the video right within BuildBook.

The best part is, if you do this each week, your clients will have a catalog of progress videos that they can show off to their friends and family.

Win more high-value clients: The construction industry is competitive, with everyone fighting over winning the best projects and clients. In order to beat out the competition, you need to find ways to stand out. Enter BuildBook Video posts.

Create a BuildBook project workspace and invite your prospective client. Create a personalized quick video for them sharing your background and how excited you are to work on their project. Add in your portfolio and start sharing your ideas for their project. What’s great is that by the time you end up winning the bid due to your personalized approach, you’ll already have the project in place to hit the ground running.

Easily upload documents directly from your phone with Mobile Document Uploads

It’s tough to find things that apps and mobile devices haven’t made easier, faster and more convenient. At BuildBook, it’s our job to discover what those are for you and fix them. And, that’s exactly why we built Mobile Document Uploads.

We’ve made it dead simple to upload documents into your project and workspaces directly from your device. Our integration with iCloud files, Google Drive and Dropbox means that you can grab and add any file you need within seconds.

Along with that, you can provide context, answer questions or ask for feedback in the comments attached to the uploaded document in BuildBook.

In addition to these exciting new features, we always look for ways to improve the overall performance of our app with each new release, and BuildBook version 2.0 is no exception. We’ve made several updates and improvements under the hood to increase efficiency to deliver you a smoother, cleaner and easier experience.

Even though BuildBook is miles beyond where it was when we launched 12 months ago, we have so much more in store for the road ahead — starting with big enhancements to the features we just introduced, so please stay tuned.
