Warranty

A warranty is a promise made by the contractor that certain aspects of a residential construction project will meet or exceed specified standards. This guarantee is usually provided in writing and specifies the period of time and range of services covered by the warranty. Generally, warranties for residential construction projects cover items such as labor, materials, workmanship, and any other related services which have been provided by the contractor. Warranties may also provide protection from defects or work that is not correctly performed, and can provide for repair or replacement of goods or services at no cost to the homeowner.

Contractors often offer warranties as a way to demonstrate their commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
